The Center for Research on Inclusion & Social Policy hires research assistants, interns, and community engaged associates every fall, spring, and summer semesters, based on need.
Students will assist CRISP with community-engaged research activities across a variety of topical areas related to social policy and equity. They will also help identify key issues and trends in services for residents and stakeholders as well as help develop recommendations for providers.
Work-related activities may include: project management, stakeholder engagement, data management and analysis, and policy analysis.
Scholarship opportunities are also available.
Temporary hourly-paid position for undergraduate and graduate students. Research assistants conduct research and evaluation-related activities on behalf of CRISP and are primarily affiliated with external community projects.
Scholarship position for graduate students. Graduate research associates conduct unfunded research that is more academic and exploratory. Must demonstrate high ability and interest in independent research activities.
CEAs receive a scholarship through IUPUI’s Center for Service and Leaning (CSL) to provide support for CRISP’s community-engaged activities. Students must demonstrate interest in the work of CRISP and may not have research experience. CSL requirements can be found here.
Students working with CRISP for course credit are usually assigned to a specific project that is not funded externally. CRISP also partners with local organizations to provide internships to students that have received a scholarship to do community-based work. Paid students may also be eligible for internship opportunities depending on the nature of the work.
